new things to try during lunch breaks: art journals

Some people exercise, some shop. Me? I art journal!

Some people might think that art journaling is a bit difficult and time consuming, but I assure you it’s not. Need evidence? Here’s my latest creation, done during my lunch break.

You can’t see the entire image, because I’m still playing with my hipstamatic ap on my iPhone, but you get the idea (see even my simple art leaves looks artsier with my camera phone!)

In the past I’ve mentioned that I’ve taken up art journaling. I love the combination of art/journal keeping and given my current obsession with creativity in my life, it’s fit in nicely with where I’m at and it’s a great change of pace during the workday (especially during the cold winter months when there’s too much snow to go outside).
