Ok, #projectlife this is what we’ve got for the first week of the year:
It’s actually a bit odd that this first page is very me-centric (me, my craft room, my packing). Honestly, since I’m the one who takes most of the photos in the family, I’m usually not in any of them. But I promised myself that this year I would try to be more conscientious about getting on the other side of the lens.
This time around I paired up the cards to the stories behind the photos: the dreaded but much needed craft room purge (there’s nothing like having your 4 year old nephew shaming you into realizing that the room is so messy that even a kid has to comment); the hair dye job (yes, the white streaks are real, but the red tint isn’t); and packing to leave for BC.
There is a blank space. It’s Paul’s. (Hint, hint sweetie… you’re homework while I’m away…). I really want the album to be our story. I know it will mostly be me but I figure if I can coerce him in to quarter time participation (hell even eighth time participation), I’ll be pretty stoked!
Funny anecdote: The top left square (jan 1-7 card) is actually wine soaked due to technical photo taking difficulties (in other words, Marya’s hodge podge album posing skills might need a little work).
I think (thankfully) that it turned out ok and if my album smells a little like wine 40 years down the road, there’s nothing wrong with that right?
