It’s been a big scrapbooking phase for yours truly! What can I say, I’m kind of spastic that way… all or nothing, that’s me!
I wanted to use red. I’ve come to realize that I am my mother’s daughter. I love red. Especially in scrapbook pages. Kraft, reds, and pinks. Random, I know but what can I say… I dig it!
I also wanted to try using the paint chip sample card in a scrapbook page. I’ve seen people use them for several things (I won’t even contemplate writing a list of the ways they’ve been used… ). I found it a bit challenging to pull in the paint chip page because of the writing on the page. I felt the need to try to hide it and so I struggled with layout issues because of it. I’m not personally big on tons of embellishments on my pages (I think others do amazing things with embellies, but me… not so much. I feel like more always ends up feeling like more, way too much more when I try it).
Anyways… I like it. Paul isn’t a fan of this picture because he thinks he looks like a scheizer, to which, if you know Paul… well, suffice to say, if the shoe fits…
When I was creating this page, I couldn’t help but be a bit awed by the fact that we are approaching 6 years together this March. I know that that’s not long for many, but as we get ready to move into our first real house and move into another stage in our life, I can’t help but be wowed by the journey that has brought us here!
