Then said cat wakes me up at 5am in the morning and I wonder....
Hell, who am I kidding. I was already up. Jetlag and all that fun stuff.
It was a fun, whirlwind trip and I'm glad we did it even if I'm still reeling a bit from how fast it went by!
From the British Museum, Carnaby Street, the London Eye, and high tea to hot chocolate and movies at home, we did the touristy stuff and the family stuff.
I haven't gone through all the photos and there's a lot I could write about but suffice to say it was lovely to spend time with my brother and sister-in-law. It was nice to see London again. I was amazed by how much I'd forgotten in the past 5.5 years. I love the city, as a lit geek how could I not? But the way I see the city now is so different than it was the first time (or 2nd, or 3rd) time I visited it. I've seen more of the world since and can't help but compare it in ways that I never did before.
Suffice to say, it has something that no other city currently has:
Alright, back to real life I go....
